alright so what exactly is GHIII boasting that makes it a better choice than just getting Rock Band and a Rock band guitar other than it's released sooner?  I'll probably buy GHIII but Is it a good choice when Rock Band is right around the corner?

^^ both games have different songs. i mean, raining blood for crying out loud!!! plus, rock band looks a little too cluttered and with a ten fretted guitar... i dunno. i dont care though, i'm having both... and the drum periph. for rock band, that looks gnarly as heL!. but yeah. difference between guitar parts of the game are that songs are different and its a les paul with interchangable plates for GHIII a fender strat for rock band. pretty much the same though really if you take away the other instruments.

psn id: gingo.... these songs are great but i personally feel that Rock Band is going to steal GH3's thunder which will be a pity

oh my god, Through the Fire and Flames? are you serious? That song is going to be LUdicrous with a capital LU. Ultimately the games are going to appeal to most people but GH3's focus on guitar is just simpler to deal with than Rockband's super ambitious multiplayer aspect which will certainly still get peoples attention if they have the circle of friends to enjoy it with.

Suck My Kiss is one of my favorite RHCP songs. Im assuming Through the Fire and Flames will be one of the most challenging songs to play.

But won't GHIII be b/c compatible with previous rock band titles?

Actually, i think this game will have less sales, i mean a new developer (Harmonix fans go to Rock Band) and those people who would like to rock with both a guitar, bas, drum or with more than one friend at a time, they will all go to Rock Band.

That's not 11 new, that's 7 new.  You had an article about 4 a few weeks ago. Dragonforce, Iron Maiden, ZZ Top and RHCP if I'm not mistaken.
