Since the release of Assassin’s Creed on the PlayStation 3, many gamers have issued complaints about technical issues such as lock ups, frame rate problems, geometry clipping and “the white screens of death”. Well we are happy to inform you that there is a new patch available that should fix these problems.

With much pressure brought on by the Assassin’s Creed community at the official Ubisoft forums, the developers have issued out a patch that is said to fix the many problems surrounding the technical aspects of the game. The update should be able to download through the game’s interface. However, it should be noted that even with the patch many gamers are reporting that there are still a few bugs that have yet to be resolved.

Assassin’s Creed is a unique IP that takes place in 1191 AD during the Third Crusade. You play as a character named Altair where you play as an assassin (obviously) trying to resolve conflicts from both sides of the war. The game places heavy emphasis on stealth combat exploration.

Fighting controls are fine imho. Mine hasn't crashed since but it has said there is a problem with the disc. I'll have probably finished it by the time all the issues are sorted!

D sensasionalism of the issue is more big than the issue itself. I already complete d game with a few freeze nothing else.

I don't have the game, as I'm not interested in it... but from the sound of it, these are issues that should really have been picked up during pre-release testing.

psn id: gingo... i have to say that was quick work by ubisoft to get a patch out but these problems shouldn't have been there in the first place

The slowdowns are on the 360 and PS3 versions, though. No patch is going to fix this.

This is discouraging. Does the 360 version of this game have the same problem? Why Ubisoft, I mean u guys had enough time to perfect this game. I am not pleased with these complaints. If only Ubisoft had concentrated on the PS3 version then these issues shouldn't have risen.Nevertheless good work with the patch
