Rumor: Infinity Ward working on sci-fi project

A rumor regarding the prestigious Call of Duty 4 development studio Infinity Ward has been swirling around the internet as of late. According to Talk PlayStation's "inside source," Infinity Ward is supposedly working on a new sci-fi title which they "may or may not announce at E3."
Frankly, with the vague information given coming from a site without repute, we wouldn't consider this information reliable whatsoever. It does seem possible that Infinity Ward could develop Call of Duty 6: Future Warfare however. If that's the case, don't expect any solid information until after Call of Duty: World at War has been released for several months.
Whatever ends up happening, we'll be here to cover it. Stay tuned.

yeah infinity ward is on my top devs list they did a great job with cod4 they're arent at the top but they are on there

Who knows, man, COD5 is still foggy, and theres already rumor of #6? I think someones in a bit of a hurry. I don't think 5 sound that great as is, compared to COD4. I think Activision created a reputation now, that they need to stick with, because of COD4, if they want sales. Never mind COD6 for now, I think they need to focus on 5. PSN I.D-Demented007.

Infinity Ward aren't lazy developers, so I'm going to definitely have to keep my eyes peeled for this one.

It's not just on TalkPlaystation. The latest UK OPM's "Rumour Machine" (issue 20, page 29) also claims this. "Infinity Ward, best known for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, is considering making a brand new sci-fi title."

Whatever they make, i'll buy, these guy's kiçk a** in the over crowded world of cr@ppy fps games on consoles. To make a game better than cod4 they should take all the time it needs to do so than everybody will be happy!

i bet that if they are working a sci fi title it would be more reminsinant of battlefiield 2142. like how even though it is in the future it is a believeable one

WTF?....I don't like WW2 and I hate Sci-fi, for IW sake (and if this BS rumour is true) I will still keep an eye on it.....I am sure they can go futuristic without being "sci-fi"...the first sign of a "pew pew" shooter and I'm out on this one. Looks like COD4, R2 and KZ2 will be rocking on longer than expected.
