According to Eurogamer.net, Canadian developer Blue Castle Games is currently working on a Dead Rising sequel.

"Everyone's really excited; the team has obviously seen the rumours and it's been hard to keep quiet, but they can't wait to show off the game," the source said.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Blue Castle Games, the studio is best known for their work on titles such as The Bigs and MLB Front Office Manager. Outside of Dead Rising 2, the company is currently working on two sports titles, one of which (Front Office Manager) was announced last month.

Further details are unknown at this point. However, seeing as Blue Castle Games is a multiplatform developer, there's a good chance that the horror sequel may come to PlayStation 3.

Stay tuned.

Been wanting the first one or a sequel for quite some time.  Hopefully they wont screw it up or make it revolve around a football stadium.  That would be gay.

If they can make the first for the the Nintendo Wii, than surely its sequel can be developed for PS3.

i did not like the first one at all, the characters were annoying and the zombie killing was fun for a little while but it got old fast, idk just not my type of game i guess never could see why people enjoyed the first one so much

No joke this was one of my favorite games on 360 now that I have a 360 too. I've played Mass Effect, Gears, Halo, Fall Out, and Fable. I still think Dead Rising was better than most of them. Too bad Capcom won't be the developer again because they know how to make a zombie game.

I would have wanted DR last year but now there's just better competition in games now, especially when it's competing against the big exclusives. 360 will be happy with it.

I would have liked the first one a long time ago, but it's beyond too far gone now. It's amazing how much I don't care about Dead Rising anymore after playing through some great titles lately. I hope it doesn't come to PS3 because I wouldn't want them to waste their money when they could be doing something better with it.
