CoD: World at War Map Pack 1 tops two million sales

Activision has revealed that the Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 has proven a considerable hit with punters following its release earlier this year, with the downloadable content racking up two million sales across PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE.

Treyarch’s Mark Lamia commented: “This is a huge milestone and we are so appreciative of our incredibly supportive community who continue to play and enjoy the game.”

“We’re hard at work on Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 2 and look forward to delivering that in June.”

Map Pack 1 features four new maps, including Nightfire, Station, Knee Deep and Verrückt. The company recently announced a follow up – the imaginatively titled Map Pack 2-, which has been pencilled in for release next month.

    I have to agree with 2 id rather killzone maps altho this has sold a heck of alot of downloads

    Think i will wait as they are bound to bundle both map packs together for less wonga. It always happens.

    im bored with killzone 2. havn't played it much since i reached the highest level.  Only want the the COD map packs for more nazi zombies!  It should really be made into a full game!

    I love WAW I've even been playing on my lunch break for the past month. the new maps are great and now playing the old ones is refreshing, cant wait until June... btw I've been playing with the zombies too just not as much.

    @3, two million sales are a lot. The Map Pack came around 2 months ago and it reached a huge 2 million sales. Considering many people talking sh1t abut this game, it reached very high in downloads.

    I got to pick this one again sometime.

    but im not buying the map pack.
