Europe won't see Afrika

According to a recent report from Eurogamer, a SCEE representative has notified them that the often forgettable yet curious title Afrika will not be published in Europe. Though the representative was tight-lipped on anything else, he did confirm that this game would see the light of day in Japan.

While not much is known regarding this African safari title, we do know it will be home to many wildlife animals such as lions, giraffes, rhinos and more. We're guessing it may be something like Pokemon Snap with a touch of beautifully rendered realism in a vibrant world of wildlife.

Still, with the ability to import region free Blu-rays from around the world, it's very likely a lot of people in Europe and North America will get their hands on this low-key title.

Indeed, this article has apalling grammar.

I will import though if it still looks fun when finished. I mean, how much Japanese will there be, it's f**king animals.

If this game will not be realesed in EU and US it just means that the game sucks.

Since SCEA is the publisher it would be strange if they (the americans) did not release it in english (their own native language, after all). Btw, it is confirmed for US, right?

a lot of people worldwide are interested in this game (me included). i don't see what good it would do making it a japan-exclusive. i believe it will be released in EU and US as well, eventually.

Seems pretty daft to go to the expense of creating a game and then not releasing it worldwide to get as much money as they can from it.... very odd.

Eurogamer could be wrong or that the rep from SCEE doesn't know what thy're talking about which is smetime the case with these reps.

Looking at the game footage from those old trailers you would think it would be a western oriented game. If its true that the game will only come to Japan, maybe you hunt the animals in the game and sell the meat and Ivory which will explain why we in EU won't see the game. Maybe the game is similar to Monster Hunter.
