Why do we get the feeling this movie is probably going to suck? Oh, I know, maybe because the first released images of the Tekken film look anything but promising.
According to IMDB.com, MMA star Cung Le has been casted to play Tekken veteran Marshall Law. The first image of him in costume has been posted on his myspace page, which you can view below. Also, additional images have been released by Tekken Corp, including the first look at Jin Kazama. You can view the entire gallery here.
Cung Le as Marshall Law
Jonathan Foo as Jin Kazama

Wa, wa, wa, wa, wait . Hold up. Is this gonna be a big theatrical movie release? Cause from the looks of this, a straight-to-DVD (or other optical media) movie is in production. I can't imagin a "big screen" Tekken movie with real people. It's just not working. To me, it feels like making a DBZ (my favorite anime [or cartoon or what ever you want to call it] of all time) live action movie. It's just not gonna work. Period.

Chances are, the movie will be bad...as per-usual.
And I can't help thinking that the actors above are playing the other guy's role. I mean the guy playing Lee looks more as if he should be playing Jin & vice-versa.
The worst thing about these martial arts games turn movies is that they either get good actors who cannot display martial arts to save their lives, or they get martial artists that cannot act to save their lives. Mortal Kombat was the best to date, but even then it was far from "Flawless Victory", and I mainly point at Sonja and the script.
It will be a rare movie based on a game where they actually get the people who can use martial arts & act...so I won't be getting any hopes up over this. And thats not even counting the script.

I want to see some REAL TEKKEN MOVES. Not no stupid practiced karate routine. I want to see some Matrix stuff. Show me some air juggles, not silly slapping and dancing around. If done right, this movie has slight potential to turn out ok, but that's IF they do it right. I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Triple Dk, ur kidding right, and on what planet are they going to film this DBZ movie? Namek. HA!! Take that people who are willing to degrade the best anime in history. You are all wasting your time. IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!! Sorry, but I had to vent on those who are going to take part whatsoever in making this movie, if it's actully made. But seriously, no matter how advance technology gets or becomes a live action DBZ movie can never, never, ever live up to the (japanese or english) animated series. EVER!!!! If they really make this "movie" don't go and watch it. Just don't....you'll (most likely) be really disappointed. Especially if your a truly deicated fan like myself. Don't support the shenanigans. It's all propaganda!! You should just wait until it airs on television, if they decide to show it on TV. But then again, one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Stickemup, yeah I respect Cung Le as an EliteXC combatant but he needs to stay away from acting. Hey, but you never know. He might increase his fanbase.
Oooo, man, I just had the craziest thought, Kimbo Slice as Craig Marduk (Yeah, I know thats like four movies later, though it's not going to make it that far!).
