If you've found yourself getting tired of the songs you already have for Guitar Hero and are too cheap to pay for new ones, Activision understands. Today the company released a press release that detailed information about not only tomorrow's PlayStation Store update, but also an update next week in relation to St. Patrick's Day that will include a free track pack.
The lineup for release this week is as follows:
Deftones - "Hole in the Earth"
Avenged Sevenfold - "Almost Easy"
Thrice - "The Arsonist."
According to the press release, these songs are already available, so you may want to check out the store today. If not, then expect them tomorrow either way. As for the special FREE track pack coming next week, it will feature Celtic band, Dropkick Murphys, and will contain three songs from their upcoming album, The Meanest of Times.
The songs included in this free pack are as follows:
-Famous for Nothing
-Flannigan's Ball
-Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya
The Dropkick Murphys may be most recognized from the movie, The Departed, which featured their hit song, I'm Shipping Up To Boston, which was showcased several times throughout the movie.
We'll keep you up to date with any further Guitar Hero downloadable content, so stay tuned.

Great. Nothing like getting a freebie. That is, if we get it in the EU store. Seems like whenever there's a free track (I'm thinking about the free track for Christmas and the Aerosmith one available on the US store) we don't get them over on the EU store. Which sucks!! :(

If this doesn't come to the EU store first then the can go die, America shouldn't get this first. Kinda wanted a good ol' Irish song, the old ones not newer ones... And please PSU.com could you change the title to "Free Guitar Hero III track pack for St. Paddy's Day". As we Irishmen and women call it that, thanks.

Looks like Activision made enough money from ripping off customers to give a freebie.
