God of War is one of my all time favorite games, hope its this year

My head's gonna explode when I play this game. It's gonna kick the sh!t out of Ninja Gaiden 2.

Man I really can't WAIT for E3... I have a very good feeling that the PS3 is not gonna have big guns but weapons of mass destruction! Imagine this... Final Fantasy XIII, God of War 3, Team Ico's new game, WarDevil, the "?" game that is so called leaving everyone with their mouths wide open and speechless and Resistence 2! And possibly Uncharted 2! and the given ones like Killzone 2, MGS4, Haze and LBP!

Metal Gear and God of War are the two of the greatest game franchises out!! Can't wait for this to hit stores.

GoW games seem to like launching in March, so I would say March 09 at the earliest.

Hehe, i would love if this game (GOW3) was the one that had people speechless :P It's not super surprising. They've had a since the release of GOW2 to be working on it since Ready At Dawn did the upcoming Chains of Olympus on the PSP. It would be nuts if they had it soon, as in this year.

I am so excited about this.  I love GOW.  On PS2 it was awsome.  For PS3, it would be even better, (of course.)  They sure do want to make us wait for all the good stuff.  What's up with that?  Seems like all I do is wait, and wait, and wait.  It's getting kinda frusterating.

has anyone else thought about how insanely crowded this holiday season is supposedly going to be? Check out Gamestops preorders from 09/2008 to 1/2009. Depending on your opinion there is 15 to 20ish AAA titles and around 5 "must have system sellers" plus potentially God of War III? That can't be crazy to just me. No way is all that stuff coming out at the same time. Why are they pitting RFOM and Killzone agains each other?

God of War is my favorite franchise. Im picking up Chains of Olympus for PSP, and am very happy to hear GOD OF WAR 3 for PS3 is coming soon. Hopefully we see a trailer here soon, maybe around the same time we see some of that EIGHT DAYS news.

What the heck? There's news about God of War 3 already and it's just still near the beginning of 2008!! I didn't expect to hear news about God of War 3 until E3 or late this year at least!!

God of War 3 is going to be a big hit. I think that God of War 3 might make a release in early 2009.... It almost doesn't feel right because the God of War games came out so quickly. But I'm guessing that as soon as development for God of War 2 wrapped up, the developers jumped on God of War 3 immediately.

I can't wait. I hope that there is a Limited Edition/Special Edition of this game also. There's nothing stopping the PS3 now. Xflop 360, you better watch out.

The graphics engine that GOW2 had on the PS2 was already amazing. With the PS3's decidedly next-gen hardware, what visual candy can we expect, eh? Another must-have for the big black beast. Darth Vader's toaster seems to be gaining more and more momentum than even I thought was possible.

GOW2 was so dam good i think even if it was made around the PS2 engine, it could have been ported to PS3 first and fooled everyone of PS3's power.

GOD3 may or may not look better than the ps2 god2 but that would only mean they are only begining to unleash the power in ps3. Scary thought.

godofwar is amazing cant wait. they should also make a movie it would be like 300 but with more askicking

Probably be March 2009 considering the 3 previous titles came out in March.  CoO came out a year after GoW II, so I don't see why it would be any different.  This is the number one game on my list, and as much as I want the game, I don't want the series to end.

It'll probably come out in '09
