MGS4 in March 08, all to be revealed at TGS?

Konami's recent financial analysis meeting has revealed important information for all fans of Metal Gear Solid. Apparently, MGS4 will launch in March 2008, and a solid release date for MGS4 will be announced at TGS.
A Japanese insider who attended the meeting revealed these bullet points:
• Metal Gear Solid 4's exact release date will be announced at the Tokyo Game Show.
• President Fumiaki Tanaka of Konami Digital Entertainment stated that release is likely Q4 March 2008
• President Tanaka also stated, "As we are aware of the popularity and hardware-driving power of this software franchise, going forwards we are open to taking this franchise across to other platforms."
These have not been fully verified, so don't jump to conclusions just yet. Also, on the third point, keep in mind that Tanaka said franchise, not Metal Gear Solid 4. There's no way we are reviving that rumor.

Honestly at first I was dissapointed but then I saw the HD gameplay video Demonstration and I felt that this game WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT believe me just the interaction with the enviorment and the graphics. The AI's seem very intelligent and of course the Story won't dissapoint. And Just think March 08 is going to be the month when PS3 starts dismantling and destroying all other competitors

This is a good point that clarifies some of Konami's earlier statements. They DID say "franchise," not specifically MGS4. If they were smart, they'd re-do the FIRST MGS and go from there. In any case, Kojima won't be doing it. Wonder how this would work, really with him saying he won't port it and him owning the rights to this game. Guess Konami would have to work a deal to compensate him and then have another team port the game. Then Konami could distribute it..

PS3 exclusive, even if it were to go to the 360, it wouldn't be half the game it is on the PS3............ PS3 is true next-generation!

In a multiplatform way , kojima productions wont lay a finger in making the game for the 360 ground up but some other game devs may conjure up mgs4 for the 360 and its going to be sooo watered down. The storyline itself will be around 3 discs i bet konami should let snake finish his fight on the ps3 soley for ps3. Like how halo3 is finishing the fight on mainly xbox360 not Mainly pc.

Ps Master, i dont no from you got that METAL GEAL will go for Xbox, this game is trade mark of sony computer entertaninment. From now, until the end of this world of this world, Metal gear will be only for ps3. Thats all lies who ever say that this game will go to xbox. PS3 FOR 4 LIFE.

I thought that one trailer said it was coming in 07? Oh well, I can wait a little longer I guess. But it would be amazing for them to remake MGS 3 Snake Eater for the PS3. I would love them forever. And ever. That is still the best game I have ever played.

The MGS series have made my mind blown away by the GFX and the gameplay you can experience
It will be awsome to play on the PS3 and its exclusive to the PS3 :D
Cant wait to stun a enemy and make him piss on him self of fear lol
