After opening all your presents this holiday, and opening that large box with all the fun that the Rock Band bundle can bring you will still have to wait some more this holiday season.
Although you now have the game and have access to the older packs and singles available for Rock Band on the PlayStation Network, you will have to wait for the new content until next week.
Harmonix officially revealed that all new Rock Band downloadable content would have to wait a week for it to be released on the PlayStation Network. Coming by way of the Rock band forums, Harmonix Developer hmxsean stated:
"Sony's offices will be closed next week and the DLC will be postponed for a week until they come back (but they'll be back on schedule the following week when they get a double-dose of DLC awesomeness). It will go up in the Xbox Marketplace as regularly scheduled."
So there will be an extra reason to celebrate the week after as PS3 owners of Rock Band will be getting double the downloadable content available that week. Harmonix has yet to comment as to what new tracks or packs will be released this week or the following for Rock Band.

yes we all want in game xmb and it feels like us playstaion 3 owners are left out because on the 360 you can text and listen to music in game if sony puts in game xmb in i hope it's tommorow kind of like a chrismas present and dont give a crap about rockband it's all about Guitar Hero

Enough about the damn in game XMB... Who gives a S.h.i.t...It seems all i hear is what Xbox has we should have... Then get a friggin Xbox and shut the h.e.l.l up!! I don't know about the rest of you But If I'm in the middle of a really cool game I don't want to be bothered... If its mmo then i can just use a headset...The only advantage is using your own playlist...
If I work on X-mas why cant Sony? j/k (lucky them).
