You know you've made it big when Activision chooses to feature your "Game of the Year" award for their national television advertisement for Call of Duty 4. We, at PlayStation Universe, would like to personally thank our readers and visitors for helping us get to our current position and look forward to having you guys grow with us. We've included below the 18 second long commercial that airs consistently on ESPN as well as other major stations, enjoy it.

Hmm, I would have thought they would contact you about something like that. I've been seeing it on the CoD4 commercial for a few weeks.

Aol Gamedaily? MSNBC.com? Gamespot? Anyone notice somethin about that. GAMESPOT's the only big one of those three. Now if Playstation Universe was in a commercial with the likes of Game Informer, than things would be different. And was it really neccesary to go to all this trouble just to show that your name was in a commercial for about 2 seconds? And it says '' You know you've made it big '' . This whole editorial is just horribly written. And Im not talking about the grammar, I'm talking about the contents; it just sounds so juvenile. And Im a big fan of psu don't get me wrong, but I just really don't like this article.

Perez you obviously don't understand the hardwork and dedication that it has taken to get to this position. It's not like just any website can literally be placed in a commercial for a major AAA title like Call of Duty 4. Even if for 2 seconds, it is certainly an accomplishment regardless. It also signifies actual acknowledgement not only from the gaming community but from the developer/publishing community as well, which is something to be proud of.
I'm sorry if you feel this article is "juvenile." If you think it's "juvenile" to show appreciation and thanks for the people who helped make it possible, then you really need to learn how to put things into perspective better. This isn't only an achievement for the members of the staff or the owners of the website. It would have never been possible without the readers and visitors as well.
And what trouble did we go to? The 5 minutes it took to take the time to thank our members for making this all possible? Seriously, you may be the only person to turn something extremely positive into a negative situation. Lighten up, life isn't that serious.

congrats psu, don't listen to all the haters, it's hard to make a website, let alone get that sort of recognition.

Good Job PSU. Just don't sell out to advertisers now that you've had a taste of the "big time" like Gamespot did. This is a quote from the movie Almost Famous about reviewing music (in your case, video games)....
"You have to make your reputation on being HONEST....and UNMERCIFUL."

It would be nice if metacritic took the site serious enough to post its dark sector review. I agree with the psu review and it would be the highest on the site..

Congrats!!! You deserve it! Through hard work and dedication we all get some prestige along the road. I´m happy that I´m part of this community and that this community made its name in a AAA title like this. Dont be bothered by people o try and cover the glow of this with remarks like ´´Its not a big deal`` and stuff like that. People either like it or not, its their choice!!! But the name PLAYSTATION UNIVERSE is there! Like or not! Be cool.

I've been keeping tabs on this site since before it became PSU and I've always loved it. Granted, I only signed up after its transition to PSU but thats a different story altogether. Regardless, I'm glad to see a site I respect and admire gain recognition, even if it is for like, 2 secs. Congrats to you guys!

Saw this earlier but didn't have time to post.
Although it's not terribly long ago i registered and started posting, i've been moderately checking up on the site regarding various playstation news since way before it became PSU. I remember when you had all of those mock shots of the ps3 (or rather how people imagined it would look like)
All in all.. Congratulations.. It takes hard work to get this far.. now that you have reached this level, by continuing the hard work, i'm sure the site will become more mainstream and widely accepted (for instance by metacritic) Afterall.. this shows that developers have already started to :)

That's awesome. They could have picked any website for that commercial, and they picked PSU. I mean, it wasn't even an XBOX fansite. That's great! I like DaveW's response to the member up there. It's more thought out and well typed than a lot of articles on this website. You should be their all-time poster. (or at least aditor if you aren't already)

Anyhow, good stuff and keep it up.
