THQ has revealed that the first of three downloadable content packs for Red Faction: Guerrilla will be unleashed on both PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE on August 13, 2009.
The first batch of DLC, entitled Demons of the Badlands, boasts a new single player arc set within a fresh Mars landscape not previously featured in the main game. PS3 owners will be able to pick up the content for $9.99 USD. Two more DLC packs are due for release by the end of the year.

Cool. Wasn't too interested in this game at first, played the demo, got bored, then deleted it. Gave it another go some time later, and actually got into it, funnily. I may still need further convincing, but from what I've heard, this is a great game, so it may just warrant a purchase, especially as it'll boost my Trophies and even more so if I can get it cheap. The DLC sounds interesting so far, I'll have to keep an eye out for it until they unveil some more information. Can't wait to hear what the other 2 DLCs planned are, but if they're good, they may just encourage me to buy this game.

Swoyt! Can't wait for this. I love this game. Can't stop playing it. If anyone is still in question of how good this game is, you're really missing out on an awesome, innovative and highly addictive game. Is it just me or does it look like these new maps and DLC will add the possibility of vehicles? If so that will be bada55.

Awe crap, quickly read over the article. Forgot, this is for single player mode. Oh well. Maybe, they'll still add some maps for MP. I wish they would add the robots and vehicles to MP. Still love MP just how it is though.

The new definition of "geek" according to iSHENANIGANS: Person who enjoys a good game. I finally bought this a couple of days ago and I'm glad I did. I'm also glad the DLC will be single player. The online stuff is decent not great. 150 levels of unlockables sounds nice on paper until you read the fine print. Most of the rewards seem to be playable characters, changing your emblem(?), and unlocking game modes (???).
