Rockstar promises new LA Noire details "very soon"

Rockstar has said during a recent chinwag with fans this week that fresh details on elusive 1940s sandbox romp LA Noire will be released for our consumption in the near future, confirming that the game’s development is coming along “quite splendidly.”
Details on the gritty PS3 detective outing have been virtually non-existent as of late, and we're still no closer to getting our mitts on a firm release date for the project. Despite this, it appears we at least won't have to wait much longer to sink our teeth into all the latest gossip from Rockstar HQ.
“While we have yet to announced a definitive release date, L.A. Noire is coming along quite splendidly and we’re going to have details to share with you all very soon,” said the company.
LA Noire should be with us some time next year. From what we know on the project, it sounds as though the wait will at least be worth it, with Take Two having recently heaped a boatload of praise on developer Team Bondi’s efforts, describing the title as “pretty exciting and innovative.”

@ 5 & 6, it was said at a shareholders meeting the game would likely see a release for both 360 and PS3 but actual developers have said that the game was built from the ground up for PS3 and the Bluray format. Who knows what the truth is about the development process though.

Yep......... the so called year of the ps3 is going well. What happened to gt5 being out for xmas? halo odst, forza3 left4dead2 all 360 exclusives and top games and all ps3 owners have is drakes.....oh and heavy rain if you like that sort of thing, man im getting sick of sand being kicked in my face. and on gt5 please someone tell me that the damage video was showing graphics from the psp version.

Stfu SSSOLWAY. You seem to have forgotten about the first half of the year. Killzone 2, MLB: The Show along with Infamous. You ALSO had a memory lapse about the second half as well....NGS2, Uncharted 2(Drake as you called it), R&C:ACIT,and Demon's Souls. There's been so many AAA titles to come out that I may have left some out. I'm sorry, I can't just keep up with the count. Now you sound foolish just as all 360 fanboys this year and a response from you isn't necessary.

@8 could be a trend like with some other games like Star Ocean and FF13 where the 360 version is going to be on multiple disc, then again they could have just said that to ease the minds of shareholders.
@9 There is so much wrong with what you just said I don't even know where to begin. All I'm getting from your post is that if you can't play a bunch of 360 exclusives and the only game you're interested in on PS3 is Uncharted 2 then every other gamer feels the exact same way and PSN only titles must not count at all in your equations.
I'm not even in the mood to provide you with all the blockbuster and potential block buster titles that have been produce this year but I'm sure someone else will read your narrow minded post and provide one.
I don't get to play the new Halo so all the other games on PS3 don't count and couldn't possible appeal to anyone? Really? I don't like FPS games but I'm not so stupid as to believe no one else does.

And really u're putting Left For Dead 2? A game which anyone can play on the pc. The game itself is overated garbage anyway. Forza 3 (Don't care) Halo ODST (A franchise which will get milked until its dried up)

Hopefully R* has gone back to its roots with this and going to have a lot of things to do because after GTA4 I lost all hope for R* Games to produce another amazing game that will have me addicted like San An did( dont get me wrong GTA4 was great but only for about 30 hours )

I know, I'm bummed about gt5 as well. I'm actually really bummed after seeing the damage video that was posted yesterday. Oh well, I will still buy it for the WRC content, but I have a feeling Forza 3 might be better overall? Will have to wait and see. I'm getting both regardless.

Secondly, yes, this site is for posting comments, good and bad. I've been on the receiving end of abuse many times for posting a negative opinion. However, there's a difference between having a negative opinion and ignoring plain fact out of sheer arrogance. No-one's insulting your opinion here, they're insulting you for denying facts. Had what you said been a genuine opinion, you wouldn't be getting so much attention, but the fact is you're denying obvious facts in a desperate attempt to insult the PS3. If you took these facts into account, you wouldn't look like the idiot that people are pointing you out as being. But you're not, you're ignoring things that everyone knows is true, and when you deny facts, you don't really have a valid opinion...
It's like if you started saying the sky's green; everyone knows it's blue, and denying it makes you look stupid - no-one will take you seriously!
That was what I was going to say in my original post, but decided not to, hence the "I don't have time or effort for you", but since you clearly missed my point, I decided to inform you anyway; from all the abuse you're getting, you're not doing yourself any justice. I would just ignore sssolway at this point because it's obvious he is just loyal to MS. You would have to be an idiot to think that if you personally preferred certain games on another system then your personal opinion is divine mandate. You would also have to be fiercely stupid to be blindly loyal to a company. If a company is providing its customers with a quality product and service I don't see a problem with throwing some praise their way but if you are the type of person to ignore the things they do wrong and attack every other company with unfounded information you're probably the type of person who screams swears over Xbox live and PSN in FPS games, screaming about how "leet" you are and going to bed at night with the delusion that you are respected and actually making a worthy contribution to society with your *cough* "greatness".
