Sony has confirmed that the 160GB PlayStation 3 model will retail for GBP 339.99 when it launches in the UK (along with the rest of Europe) on October 31.
In addition, the platform holder also revealed that the newly announced PSP-3000 will cost GBP 149.99 when it hits stores on October 15.
The functions of the 160GB are pretty self explanatory, possessing the same specs as the 80GB mode, albeit with expanded hard drive space. The PSP-3000 on the other hand offers an enhanced LCD screen (sporting twice the response time of the current models, apparently) and built-in microphone.

Interesting. Good for new purchasers...Is the size of the hard drive linked somehow to LBP? ? Which is released the same day?
"same specs as the 80GB mode,"
You made a typo Mike, you meant "Model"
there wont be backwards compatibility in any future ps3..... TRUFAX!!!
Not bad prices, but why are they releasing yet another PSP SKU isn't it about time a PSP 2 came out?
Adding more disk space simply doesn't make it any better ... Kicking the firmware guys into touch and hiring somebody with more balls in the software division would help more. Come on Sony ... sort yourselves out
Personally I have the 80 that is B/C but I don't even use it....So I don't know what the big deal is....
@marronthered - You can't really say tat there won't be backwards compatibility in any future PS3, because nobody knows that for sure. Not even sony knows that, they could even come out and say it and still possibly have a backwards compatible sku in 3 months.
Price is still to high for what it is lol, will be buying a PSP but not till next year.
Haha, so it's going to £400 here, I'd be willing to bet that Americans will not be pyaing $800.
