Sony confirms wireless SingStar mics

To be honest, we were starting to give up on Sony and wireless microphones for their popular karaoke franchise, SingStar.
However, in a surprise announcement today, a representative for Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) confirmed that the company is in the process of testing wireless microphones for the title.
“We are indeed currently testing wireless mics with our community. We haven't actually announced the launch date or price point yet.”
When asked to give a launch window for the accessory, the source added "“in the early part of the new year."
Now that we know this is official, we just hope Sony sends some our way to test out. Our vocal chords may be getting some wear down with the recent release of Vol.2 a couple of months ago, but we're determined not to let that put us off belting out the latest hits with the addition of a wireless microphone.

Finally. I would put away the wired mic's as soon as this comes out.

Well this was inevitable Microsoft's Lips title is out now with wireless mics, don't want the Singstar sales going down now do we..? lol
