FFVII has done 10mil+ and counting

The first FF release on consoles is always the best selling. Then the numbers decline for each other title. Will be interesting to see VersusXIII PS3 sales against XIII PS3 sales.

I have a dragon that poops pizza! i will not be getting this game, why? because its going to feel like a ps2 game with scripted everything, your every move will trigger some stupid cut scene. im sick of that. gamers must understand that game play that lasts is the game play developed in sandbox landscapes. yes its true almost all games get boring after time, but tell me your don’t still pop in GTA5 or Red Faction from time to time, but ill bet you never still pop in Ninja Gaydone. Please also understand that this is my opinion about the game and would not like it if people put me down just for exercising my free speech.

My Prediction:

Japan: 2 mil
Europe: 1.5 mil
America: 1.5 mil

And that's bearing in mind that the sales have been going downhill ever since FFVII, not to mention that Square have destroyed their once excellent reputation with crappy sequels, spin offs and decisions that have pissed a lot of people off.

@9 has clearly never played a FF game. FF is not the sorry MGS4 in which i am admittedly against.

to the topic tho, i think XIII will easily sell 6mil+ over its life time. it'll sell 2-3mil from the first few weeks. iknow ill be buying 2-3 copies of the game :)

it will sell alot of copies .. but not that much ... i remember FFX, FFX-2 & FFXII couldnt sell that much ... at least FFX sold more than 6 m as of january 2004 (3 years later)... and the the PS2 numbers at that time is more than the PS3 & Xbox 360 combined today

 I had both the 360 and the PS3 before the RROD situation came into play but if I didn't have a PS3 yet I would have bought one just for this game and the new Star Ocean International. The 360 is starting to show it's limitations other than the high failure rate these larger games are starting to be put on multiple disc and it's a pain in the butt when you have the option to have it on one disc.
