Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Andy Murray will be among the list of professional tennis players scheduled to appear in the upcoming Top Spin 3 later this year.

The publisher announced this week that Murray – in his first appearance in a videogame – would be joined by a host of other well-known tennis stars, including Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Maria Sharapova, the latter of who will be exclusive to the Sony PlayStation 3 version of the sports title.

Players will also be able to control or compete against "three of the sport's legendary players," - Boris Becker, Bjorn Borg and Monica Seles. Also confirmed is the appearance of over 40 different Tennis venues, in addition to a player creation option.

Top Spin 3 is scheduled for release this spring for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS.
