UK favours gaming over sex in bed

With the perception of videogames generally viewed as “uncool” in today’s society, you may be surprised to hear that gaming has become one of the most popular activities to do whilst in bed. According to a survey in Great Britain, people spend more time playing videogames in bed than having sex.
What we spend our time in the bedroom doing (minutes per week):
1. Sleep (3,150)
2. Talking (193)
3. TV (132)
4. Net surfing (122)
5. Reading (114)
6. Listening to music (105)
7. Using phone (81)
8. Work (77)
9. Computer games (57)
10. Sex (35)
You would think that sex would be higher up on the list but as proven, that is not the case, especially with videogames a spot higher. Are people simply not finding that “special person,” or has gaming just become that much more addictive? If anything, this controversial result certainly shows just how much more convenient playing videogames has become.
Taking into consideration the diversity of gaming consoles today, such as the features available over PSN, we can only imagine how much more popular videogames between the sheets will become once Home releases.

@saso_7
Actually my full name is Tyrell Sarad Jackson. Personally, I go by Sarad in real life but for "professional reasons", it is better to go by my first name since that is also what appears on my business cards.

Yeah, how old were these people being surveyed? But in UK, I also heard that some married men would rather have a 50" plasma TV for 6 months without sex! Whoa!

I don't talk on the phone while in bed, I don't read while I'm in bed, I don't surf the web while I'm in bed, I don't listen to music in bed.... I never knew so many people did so many things in bed. I don't even watch T.V. while I'm under the sheets in bed because I'll fall asleep.

The idiot who wrote the PSU article should definately be spending more time under the sheets learning how to read. The source article stated "What we spend our time in the bedroom doing (minutes per week)" and NOT "which activity they enjoy more while under the sheet".

Having now seen the source of the information and the methodology used its not a surprise. Sharpes is a company that makes fitted bedroom furniture etc. what they did was go up to customers in the middle of the shop and say "so then what do you get up to in bed?" Honestly what would you say to that from a stranger in a public place? Erm, yeah I like to play hide the sausages? I don't think so some how!!! lol. Reported in the Mirror newspaper as well, which is a wrag of a newspaper that is normally used to wipe ones backside on!!!
Also @ Robmv Europes population is statistically younger than any other region in the world. I think what you might be hinting at is the general decline in population, i.e. families having less kids. In America I think its 3.5 kids per family while in Europe its 2.1 or something similar. Either way its also interesting to note that in Europe concraception use is significantly higher per head of population than anywhere else in the world.
@ MajesticEdge... you didn't ALWAYS go by the name Tyrell for articles and actually usually went by the name Sarad, so if teh name change is for professional reasons its because you've taken a lot of stick because your articles are none stories much of which is hyperbolic rubbish or worse still made up.

depends on how you look at it, you've had sex before you slept and the first thing you wanna do when you wake up is have more sex? i like surfing and gaming but the talk is also part of it, i mean i really do like to check what is going on before i get of bed, and partly because im lazzy or too excited.

This is just a survey of what activities you do in "bed"!....I guess there's a lot more sex goin' on "outside" of the bedroom! Prolly more exciting to do it off the bed, maybe just by the window sill?!?!? lol.

Yeah this article is totally lame - the source link goes back two sites deep and ends in a discontinued page. There is absolutely no info about who or where or how the data was gathered. Totally bogus. Sex in bed tops games in bed any day, anywhere in the world.
