Video Store update; January 6

This seems to be a slow rolling week for Sony's video service. Unlike past updates which included a ton of TV series additions and even some much older feature films, this week looks bland and quite uninteresting. Pineapple Express however is the lone bright spot in this weeks update. Not only was that film beyond funny, but it's even funnier the second time around.

Which movie are you looking forward to checking out the most?

Featured Films

- Babylon AD
- Bangkok Dangerous
- Disaster Movie
- Pineapple Express
- The Wackness
- Episode 22 of Xam’d: Lost Memories

On top of the standard video releases, Sony has also provided their users with several season of Monty Python to enjoy. The Official PlayStation Blog included this clip from the previously mentioned content below.

More items for Home would of been nice. But it's better than nothing.

Sure, you brits don't get this, but you do get Play TV...and besides the video store is a flipping joke...I "bought" a movie from it for $14.99, and I can't redownload it.  The movies you buy don't appear in your downloads list (in either the video store or the PS store), so once you delete the file, you're S.O.L.

Can't you call Cust. Service & they will let you re-download movies that you already paid for? At least once I think.

Perhaps you can call customer service, but why shouldn't it be available for you to download from your downloads list like the PSN titles are?  It just chaps my hiney that something that I "bought" for $14.99 isn't in my downloads list.  Imagine running the purchase and getting signed out of the PSN due to an error before you can initiate the download...when that happens, you get booted from the store, and since the movie isn't in the downloads list, you would have to resort to phoning customer service.  It shouldn't be that way.  When I buy a BRD at the store, I can watch the BRD, put it back in the box when I'm finished, and then take it back out of the box to watch it again later...I don't have to keep it in my PS3 in order to watch it a later time...I'm not spending any more money in the video store until this changes (if ever).
