For the disbelievers who said MGS4 won't sell as much as predicted, you should feel pretty ashamed right about now dawg. MGS4 a long with others are going to be a massive yet critical selling point for the PS3. So, I would like to hear how MGS4 did in Europe and the USA.

Very, very nice. Hopefully the hardware (and MGS4) stays up like the PSP.

I wonder if that 476,334 copies stat was including the MGS4 bundle. Any insight would be appreciated.

I got into a debate with someone weeks before the release of GTA 4. He claimed that GTA 4 was thee game that PS2 Owners were waiting for to purchase a PS3. I tried to explain to him that it was Metal Gear Solid, and not GTA 4, that was thee game PS2 owners were waiting for.
GTA has a massive appeal across North America and Europe. Metal Gear Solid has a massive appeal across North America, Europe and Japan.
Once more, With GTA 4 being a multi platform game, there were a fair amount of gamers who had the PS2 and purchased the 360. So then, they would not purchase a whole new system for a game that they can get at the same quality on the system that they already have.
I talked to several people fed up with the delays and broken promises by developers for the PS3, not to mention the delays and broken promises of the first party titles. Some of them declared that they would not get a PS3 until Metal Gear Solid 4 came out. Well, although Sony's PS3 sales picked up with the victory of Blu-Ray , Haze(Though a disappointment) and GTA 4, they still were not on par with expectations in the three main regions.
Until now, with the Metal Gear Solid Bundle, System, game, DS3. Some didn't care about DS, but let's keep in mind how many people purchased the PS2.
The PS3 would have been fortunate to sell 10,000 in a week in Japan. So then, to sell 75,000 in a week is a very good sign. Mind you the 360 May not sell more than 3,000 per week. Sony will be able to gain a great deal of ground.
