Rock Band 2 dated for PlayStation 3

Rock Band 2 has received an official release date for the PlayStation 3 platform. While many gamers are still upset about the timed exclusivity that the title will receive on the XBOX 360, they can be rest assured that they will not have to wait long.
With Rock Band 2 releasing on September 14 for the 360, Sony fans will be waiting roughly a month for their chance to start rocking away once more. The PlayStation 3 version is set to release on October 19, which is coincidentally one month before the release of the Nintendo Wii version.

So this could be good for the US but its too late for me here i the UK ...... I mean we still do not have RB1, so what happens now do they release 2 over here and skip 1 in the UK or are we going to have to wait another year ....... EA can forget it I cant be bothered with them!!!!! GH WT all the way, looks like better drums too!!!!

Like some other members, I was expecting more than just a month. That's not that bad of a wait to be honest. I don't play Rock Band though, as I realized a while ago it's more rewarding to learn to play actual instruments

Exclusivity on this is stupid, I could see doing it on the first one but, people already made up thier minds what system they wanted it for when they purchased the first incarnation. Whos gonna buy the first with all the instruments for PS3 then since its coming out early for x360 go out and buy all the instruments over again w/RB2 to play it a month ahead of time. Doesnt make sense to me.

I told you we'd have it quickly. they arnt stupid enough to miss the US holiday shopping season. Plus we get to keep buying DLC for the first game untill the second one arrives.
Also enough of this idiotic, retarded boycott crap. you do a worse service to the PS3 by NOT buying it.
RB and GH guitars will not be cross compatible, the changes made to GH's guitars are extensive so even the GH3 guitar might not even be compatible with world tour .

I thought this was just rumored, not official. I just posted an article on my forum and it was considered a rumor. But maybe PSU has insiders or something.

I really don't mind waiting a month. And besides... by the time it hits PS3, we'll likely have a patch to fix bugs found in the Xbox version. I'm all for that. :)
