Rumor: Rockstar ready to release next GTA by end of 09

According to Loose Talk in the latest Game Informer, RockStar North is already working on the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto franchise, which should be ready for release this holiday season.
"We're not talking about new DLC or a collection of previously available DLC, we're talking about a full retail game. We expect this title to follow the suit of previous GTAs and use a subtitle such as GTA: San Andreas, etc. Tokyo might be a possible setting for the game, but details are non-existent at this time." - Game Informer Issue 190
It wouldn't be surprising for RockStar to release the next GTA this soon – as you may recall, Vice City hit the shops only a year after Grand Theft Auto III was released for PlayStation 2.

Name this game Grand Theft Auto: Tokyo, give the game a cool looking japanese guy with tattoos on his neck, make the game have a regenerative health system, give the game a Yakuza based setting in Tokyo, make the customization and gameplay like Gta San Andreas, and I'm ready to pay a million dollars. Anyway hopefully Gta iv: Lost and Damned has more weapons like a beretta pistol and the glock, and more machine guns, and hopefully it has a regenerative health system.

You know it wont be gta 5 like between gta 3 and gta 4 they had vice city sanandreas liberty city stories and vice city stories so yes it may be something new like vice city or sanandreas was not like vice city stories was more of vice city kinda but it will probably be like gta tokyo kind of thing and gta 5 will come out much later like # 7 said altho it should be exsclusive to ps3 atleast:)

Ihave always had playstation platforms the reason being they have the best twisted games I wish sony would back off of rockstar as for gta games I have all of them I enjoy them because u can drive around shoot up **** as far as the story as long as its ok I hope they come out with at least 5 more for ps3

I think PS3 deserves more gta than xbox because we had gta on ps way before that 360 and they got a add on we didn't get!

heres a idea for a game prob a bad idea but why dont they make it your the cops you run the city and you have to do the chasing,and the stoping of crime,mafia,drugs all that crap. i agree with most of you last one was not that good. funny thing is guys at work still play it..
maybe make vegas map did ny,la,miami, vegas would be good has the big city and the whole desort

I find if they do make another GTA it should be in san andreas modern day it would be real fun and they have the best plot and setting ( the different areas such as rural and vegas ) so if they made it in s.a im gonna buy it. though it will most likely be out around the same time as Xbox alien (hopfully before) its gonna be amazing

I think they should do a san andres remix and add more cars and more options where u can control your enviroment like lights and building buildings that would be cool and where u have to unlock ur car or roll down ur windows. stuff to that nature and make it like GTA 4 graphics and have more rap in it. and i also think they need to keep it on 360 to be fair to everyone dont get me wrong Playstation is the best unit but I own a 360 and im not going to go out to buy a new unit just for a new GTA. I love GTA and I hope it gets better and better and more stuff to do Im a computer tech and i know there are millions of different things that you can do to a game I hope they can brighten up everyones spirits so they can once again be the best out there like before

I think that they should do a gta in all major cities already SA Liberty City Vice City why not somewhere like Chicago there\\\'s a lot if mafia gang and drug activity with the whites blacks mexicans and Italians and Chinese. I mean chicagos had it\\\'s fair share of violence and bloodshed with all the al Capone stuff and the modern day gangs around Chicago and it's just a complete city

if they dont make it as fun as san andreas thn its no point thm even making a new gta , and if they do it as fun as san andreas then it would b fun for gta to go abroad somewhere like Australia or Canada or some big country
