A demo of Koei’s forthcoming Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War will be available to download through the European PlayStation Network this Thursday, the company announced today.
Based off the infamous Hundred Year War between English and French armies during the period 1337 – 1453, Bladestorm pits players in the shoes of a rogue commander and his entourage of mercenaries, who can align with either side during the game.
Gameplay is largely familiar to developer Koei’s Kessen series previously seen on PlayStation 2, offering users a variety of weapons and infantry to employ in battle, including cavalry, infantry, archers, elephants and more. Troops can gain experience as the battle wages on, and your reputation will affect the quality of units at your disposal.
Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War is scheduled for release in Europe on November 2nd, with a North American release following before the end of the year.

It's definitely better than a PS2 game. AND better than Dynasty warriors because there's a lot more involved than just tapping the slash button over and over. There are different weapons, Upgradeabout armor for your commander, It took me a while to truely understand what the Japanese demo was giving me and when I did I discovered it was pretty darn sweet. I like giant robots but I'd by Bladestorm at full price before I bught Gundam Dynasty Warriors.
