Army of Two tops UK Charts

Electronic Arts’ cooperative shooter Army of Two has debuted at the top of the UK All Format Charts following its release last Friday on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

The title’s success marks the first time an original Intellectual Property (IP) from EA has graced the top of the UK charts following the release of Black in 2006.

Developed by EA Montreal, Army of Two focuses on cooperative-based gameplay, allowing players to team up with a built-in Partner Artificial Intelligence (PAI) or cooperate with other gamers in an effort “to fight through war, political turmoil and a conspiracy so vast it threatens the entire world."

One of the game’s major attractions is its in-depth weapon customisation option, which allows the player to upgrade a variety of weapons throughout the game, ranging from standard pistols, shotguns and automatics, to more advanced and destructive tools, such as rocket launchers, sniper rifles and grenade launchers.

It's like a summer action flick. Filled with style and sillyness. Its more for co op.

Staticneuron is right - this is the gaming equivalent of Starship Troopers - OTT gung-ho American BS, but a lot of fun.

I'm a little disappointed with it, though - a lot has changed since the early screens broke. You no longer approach the aircraft carrier in a boat, but parachute onto the deck. Graphically, it's somewhere between GRAW2 and CoD4 - good in places, poor in others. I'm not sorry I bought it, but it's not as good as I was hoping.

psn id: gingo... glad to see a decent title at the top of our charts instead of some nintendo piece of crap that shouldn't even be classed as a game, only problem is that EA made it or i might have given this a buy

The game is really cool and innovative but to be was too short. My friend and I beat it in about two nights of playing it, now the only thing to keep my attention on the game is the online play but I don't know how long that will last..little dissapointing but great game none the less
