After a somewhat frustrating 24 hours for PAL gamers, Sony has finally updated the European PlayStation Store this afternoon, bringing with it the highly anticipated PlayStation Network release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.
In addition to the Polyphony Digital title, the company has also offered up the usual dose of demos and other goodies, all of which can be viewed below.
-Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (GBP 24.99)
-UEFA Euro 2008 demo (Free)
-Unreal Tournament Map Pack (Free)
-Turok Map Pack (GBP 1.99)
-Eye of Judgement “Bio Rebellion” Card Set (GBP 6.99)
-Reel Fishing (PlayStation game – GBP 3.49)
-Everybody’s Golf: World Tour (Trailer – Free)
-Eye of Judgement (Trailer – Free)
-GT5 Prologue (Trailer – Free)
-Dark Sector (Trailer – Free)
-Dynasty Warriors 6 (Trailer – Free)
It is worth noting that yesterday’s Grand Theft Auto IV trailer is noticeably absent.
"We would like to apologise for the lack of a PS Store refresh yesterday,” the company offered.
"As previously mentioned, we unfortunately experienced some last minute technical difficulties and were unable to publish the new content as planned.”
"However, we have been working hard to resolve these issues and are pleased to be able to let you know that [all of the above] is now live on the UK store."

thats some bs that EU gamers keep getting crap later then us here in U.S. i like many, actually feel for EU gamers, rather then laugh and make fun of them for not getting stuff.
also @ Anth67: theres no way im gonna wait till 2009 for the full game. i want something to tide me over till then, and if u think $39.99 is to much to enjoy something that I believe will likely see updates with added cars, tracks, etc. till the final release, you sir are very cheap.

Lighter note - Decent update for Europe. I'm not bothered with any of it and I don't live there, but hey, at least you guys finally get something before the US.

How can they justify the download of GT5 pro costing more than the blueray?
This is mad in my opinion, its only a fiver but what resale value does a download have and its no use if u wanna take it round to a mates. Im guessing that this has come off the back of how successful the download of warhawk was.
One advantage of the download I like is that you dont need to bother gettin up an changin the disk lol

Demon - I find your comment of me being cheap rather insulting. I just don't justify buying a game that is only here to tide the population over. Why waste 25£ on a game,(or 20 if bought on high street) when I'm a student and have other games coming out in the next few weeks that will be of worth to me. When the full game rolls out next year, I will happely spend the 40£ to play it till my hearts content. And IF you think that they will continuely add new cars/tracks/content to prologue, then you are in for a nasty surprise. sure you'll get the odd treat to tide you over some more. but it won't ever equal to what the full game will be. and what the full experience will be.
