Konami has said that there are no plans to release the limited edition gun metal grey PlayStation 3 console in the UK.

When asked on the possibility of the limited edition hardware bundle - which is currently available to consumers in North America - coming to UK shores, a spokesperson told Eurogamer, "Nope, sadly not.”

“The only bundle we are doing is the Play.com special edition with figurine."

As previously reported, the Play.com bundle consists of the official soundtrack CD, a Solid Snake action figure, and a special “Making Of” documentary Blu-ray disc.

However, new adopters keen on snapping up Metal Gear Solid 4 may be interested to learn that Sony will be offering up a PS3 console, a copy of the game and a Sixaxis pad for EUR 439, although a spokesperson was keen to note, "I believe we will only be getting the standard black PS3 with the MGS4 bundle."

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is due out on June 12.

Marronthered...that is right, yet so sad and true! :(

Why is Sony so unkind to PAL territories?

Why, why, why...can't they just gives us a fair treatment?? It's like the more we pay, the less we get!!!

Stop complaining! the US is only getting like a couple of thousand so it's not like it'll be easy to find here either. You have as much a chance of buying an over priced one on Ebay as anyone else.

Damn! Always get overpriced stuff and no good deals yet we are the biggest game market. I dont uderstand politics.

We should do the boycott and stop buying hardware and software to hit their pockets.

Alpha2 couple of thousands is enough for you guy,Americans always complain about pricings yet they get the cheapest stuff on the market.

You should try to come to UK , work , live here and buy hardware (double the US price).

We have the right to complain

If sony don't wan't to sell more console that's tuff for them, a gun metal grey bundle in europe truely would of boosted sales for the ps3, either way I don't care coz I already have my ps3, I'll just get my hands on a mgs4 collector!
