LucasArts has confirmed that its ambitious Star Wars outing The Force Unleashed has notched up sales of over 1.5 million after just five days at retail.
President of LucasArts Darrell Rodriguez commented: “The record-setting sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed shows the undiminished power of Star Wars and its popularity across all media types, including video games.”
“We’re blown away by the response.”
For those of you who have yet to switch to The Dark Side, the game takes place in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with players assuming control of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. Cue copious amounts of light sabre duels and some devastating use of The Force – what more could you want?

I had it preordered. But since my son liked playing the demo as well, I gave up my PS3 version so he could get the PS2 one for himself. I'll pick mine up as soon as I finish with Lego Batman.
