Downloadable version of PS3 Battle Fantasia for North America?

While North American based Xbox 360 owners enjoyed the arcade fighter Battle Fantasia last year, European Xbox 360 and PS3 owners will see it released in their region later this month. Meanwhile, there's been no word on whether the game will ever see the light of day on PS3 in the North American territory.

Until now, that is. Via Siliconera, information has been unearthed at the Entertainment Software Rating Board's official website, where you'll see that Battle Fantasia has had a new platform added next to it. It now reads "PSN via PS3," suggesting that the game may be released as a PlayStation Store download at some point. Considering Battle Fantasia is a 2D fighting game, it shouldn't be a huge download either. Good news for fans of old school beat 'em ups!

Neither the developer, Arc System Works, or the publisher, Aksys Games, has confirmed the title for North America.
