Capcom keeping mum on Street Fighter IV patch

Remember that substantial Street Fighter IV patch that was scheduled to go live shortly after launch? Of course you do, it included the Championship Mode that would expand the multiplayer section of the celebrated fighter with an enhanced Tournament matchmaking system, a new points ranking system and the ability to record, play back and upload fight replays.

However, according to CVG.com, Capcom was unable to divulge when gamers can expect the patch or  what would be included. More importantly, the publisher completely overlooked the infinite loop bug that has since reared its head among the Street Fighter IV community.

We've sent out an email to our contact at Capcom to see if we could have any more luck than CVG on the subject. We'll update this article if the company decides to comment on if/when they plan on implementing a fix.
