PSP receives next slate of Greatest Hits titles

Sony wasn't joking when they told us at the Consumer Electronics Show that they planned to focus a lot more on the PlayStation Portable throughout 2009. So far this year, gamers have witnessed announcements of first-party titles including LittleBigPlanet and MotorStorm, alongside third-party entries such as Assassin's Creed and Rock Band.

This newfound support for the handheld may just be what the system needs in order to give it a much needed boost in the long running battle with Nintendo’s DS. Continuing this trend of support, Sony is beefing up its list of Greatest Hits titles being made available for the affordable price of $19.99 USD.

We've included the list of the ten newest titles to hit the GH rack come April 5.

- Fight Night Round 3
- God of War: Chains of Olympus
- Medal of Honor Heroes 2
- Mortal Kombat: Unchained
- Patapon
- SOCOM U.S. Navy SEALs: Tactical Strike
- Sonic Rivals 2
- SpongeBob SquarePants: The Yellow Avenger
- Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter® 2
- Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six® Vegas

When I get a PSP I will be picking up God of War for sure and at $19.99, tat is a great price.

By the way, aren't PSP games $39.99. PS2 games were $49.99 and when they went to greatest hits, they were sold for $19.99. Shouldn't PSP games be $9.99. PS3 games are sold at $59.99 and there greatest hits are sold for $39.99.

With this recent announcement and the fact that the PSP will be getting a lot of great PlayStation 3 titles, I'm definitely considering playing my PlayStation Portable from now on. A lot of games on that list above I was interested in a while back. Great work Sony!

Wasn't Patapon already priced at $19.99?  That's what I paid for it the day it came out last year without a preorder.  Great game BTW.
