Students protest grotesque dog killing in Call of Duty

Students from the Academy of Notre Dame have begun protesting the violence against dogs seen in the massively popular Call of Duty: World at War.
"Killing dogs as a form of entertainment ... over and over again. That's one of the objects of the game. Parents need to know what they are buying their kids. Killing animals should not be a form of entertainment," said 19-year-old Breanna Lucci, president of the school's Animal Rights Club.
Lucci recently began a petition against this computerized animal murder, which has garnered over 100 signatures from her classmates.
"My little 12-pound Pomeranian, Winnie the Pooh, is sitting next to [my brother, who is playing Call of Duty: World at War], and I'm thinking, 'This looks horrible!' My brother is a sweetheart. He won't be killing dogs after playing. But some people might."
Following that logic, if an animal trained to kill is jumping at your throat while you're holding a gun, you shouldn't defend yourself. Also, note how Lucci doesn't seem to have an issue with shooting the other humans in the game. It makes you wonder where some people's priorities are.

So just because stupid and or crazy people might do something they see in a video game they shouldnt allow it for anyone else? If this argument was worth anything GTA would have stopped existing a long time ago.
Now that i mention GTA i see no complaints from this group that we are killing computer generated humans as well. Yes i know the group is for animal rights but shouldnt they want all living things to live and be happy not just animals?

Video games won't cause someone to do something violent like kill an animal or person unless they have problems to begin with...
Its like me starting a protest against CoD4 for their violence against helicopters- You sick bastards!, you even had to nuke the choppers- have you any feelings at all!? lol

i agree with 28, what she seems to forget is these dogs dont exist they arent real there are worse things happening to animals than cod waw in real life so take all the time spent on worrying about dogs that dont exist and go phisicaly help the ones that do while she is worrying about world at war, dogs are die'n in puppy mills

Apparently the dog in Marley and Me dies... it made a girl friend of mine cry in the cinema... she didn't cry when I killed attack dogs in Call of Duty... because its a computer game... because its not real... so please go to Hollywood and take your stupid logic up there biatch!

People who put animal life over human life should be lined up and shot... once in each appendage.
And if I got attacked by an attack dog, I would do my best to kill the bastard. I'd do less when dealing with a human, in fact. Cute and fluffy go right out the window when they're trained to kill, but a human can nearly always reason once they're incapacitated.

we killed billions and billions of humans throughout the history of gaming. we kill 1 dog in games nd the world goes crazy. seriously, so what if you kill dogs in video games, espically when they pose a great threat to your life. It's true that there are some sick ppl out there that might be encouraged to kill a dog after playing this game, but there are sick people everywhere u go!!!! look at farcry 2, u can kill innocent wild life for no reason at all. If we follow Lucci's logic for everything, we will be forced to stop making voilent video games.
comments like these make me go back nd play GTA and laugh
