Students protest grotesque dog killing in Call of Duty

Students from the Academy of Notre Dame have begun protesting the violence against dogs seen in the massively popular Call of Duty: World at War.
"Killing dogs as a form of entertainment ... over and over again. That's one of the objects of the game. Parents need to know what they are buying their kids. Killing animals should not be a form of entertainment," said 19-year-old Breanna Lucci, president of the school's Animal Rights Club.
Lucci recently began a petition against this computerized animal murder, which has garnered over 100 signatures from her classmates.
"My little 12-pound Pomeranian, Winnie the Pooh, is sitting next to [my brother, who is playing Call of Duty: World at War], and I'm thinking, 'This looks horrible!' My brother is a sweetheart. He won't be killing dogs after playing. But some people might."
Following that logic, if an animal trained to kill is jumping at your throat while you're holding a gun, you shouldn't defend yourself. Also, note how Lucci doesn't seem to have an issue with shooting the other humans in the game. It makes you wonder where some people's priorities are.

SERIOUSLY? She says her brother is a sweetheart and that he's killing "dogs" in a game where you kill a bunch of people violently so it becomes a terrible thing? Oh yah they might start killing dogs in real life. They might start killing people too. But dogs are WAAAY more important!

Let's ban "Old Yeller". A dog was shot in that. Oh, and don't forget "To Kill a Mockingbird". Sure Atticus was a great man for defending Tom Robinson against a racist system. That is, he was great...until he killed that poor, sick dog. Sure, the dog had rabies, but you just can't go around killing animals just because they might harm you. That's just crazy! Of course, I guess you can't ban these because they are classic films and books and considered art. Of course we can still ban video games because they aren't art and are just entertainment...right?

What? people are still going on about this?
So if I understand these people correctly, they think it is perfectly normal and humane to kill other humans.
Also if the dogs were cute little, white, fluffy poodles, with little pink ribbons in their hair, (I'd still shoot them laughing) then there would be a potential problem. But the dogs in this game are not poodles they are savage beasts trying to kill us. If a savage dog came running at me I would snap its neck.
