Media Molecule has posted up fresh details on its upcoming LittleBigPlanet 1.12 patch.

Dubbed Cornish Yarg, the update throws in numerous minor tweaks, though the most significant comes in the form of incorporating in-game music functionality, allowing players to select tunes from the XMB in Create mode. Community objects will also be far easier to delete.

We’ll let Media Molecule guide you through the full list:

There is a new music player which lets player’s choose their own music from the XMB to play during create mode and in their Pod

Improved decoration mode makes it easier to customize your Sackboy

New options to help prevent profiles becoming full of unwanted community objects:

Option to delete all (unhearted) community objects and photos

Option to select whether to automatically collect community prizes and photos

A number of improvements have been made to make profiles more robust and to recover from certain errors

We now support Japanese and Korean IME for text chat.

Emitter prediction has been improved (this should help fast-moving projectiles e.g. in MGS levels)

The player proximity switch now has a ‘require all’ option in it

An option has been added to cycle between various level information when viewing community levels on the earth.

Interesting... but I would rather be able to hear my own music while I play the game.  Games that allow me to do that (THANK YOU KILLZONE 2 multiplayer developers!) are some of my favorite.

so would i BUT, ithink i know why they did this, u see the abillity to mess around with the music in lbp is a feature people and Mm like, and it really can help give a level a certain 'feel" so they prolly thought it was best to keep that intact, they could just as easily have taken it out for create mode, but atleast we'll be able to listen to a song out of a game thatif were making a level designed after that game, example > listening to " kate - puzzle " from mirrors edge whilst creating a mirrors edge level, so , it will still be good :)......8/.........of course....this also means u cant listen to a mirrors edge song...whilst playing a mirriros edge level......hmm :(

While it's a bit annoying, I quite like the way you can't play the music over someone else's level. They may have spent ages fine-tuning the atmospheric music!

I wish you could load music from the xmb into the levels that you create...that'd be the best...I got some Gnarls Barkley tracks that would fit so perfectly with any level on this game...

this is jsut going to end up in another copyright claim argumemt with music producers not wanting their music in levels. sigh.

if it werent for copyright issues this would e a great addition. although i havent played lbp in agesss

In-Game music is a wonderful feature. But since they said in create mode, I assume you can't listen to it while playing through story mode.

I kind of agree that some people spend a lot of time making their music just right for their level, but at the same time, I think we're all getting a little tired of the same music being played.

I wouldn't mind some new tunes.
