Kitase: Xbox 360 FFXIII will not compromise PS3 version

Square Enix’s Yoshinori Kitase has reiterated that the developer is committed to offering gamers an ‘equal experience’ for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Final Fantasy XIII.
Kitase’s comments come following news that the 360 version of the eagerly anticipated RPG hadn’t entered development until after the PS3 FFXIII demo hit Japanese stores in April.
“The team is targeting to create an equal experience on both the 360 and the PS3, so there are no limitations. For example, right now we’re working on the PS3 version first, and once we’ve completed that we’ll really know how much game there will be to fit onto the Xbox 360 discs,” he told VideoGamer.com.
“So we don’t know how many discs it’ll be housed on for 360, but there won’t be a chance that we’ll compromise anything because, oh it didn’t fit in the 360 discs so we’ll have to take it out of the PS3 version, or vice versa.”
Final Fantasy XIII is due out in Japan later this year, with a North American release arriving in 2010.

Ok....I myself haven't been too fond of the current $E, but that doesn't mean we should get reckless here. You might aswell go ahead and make another silly statement like "We should get X developers to make a stealth spy game and put Kojima out of business"
...yeah, not happening anytime soon pal.

Damn you guys, It's obvious this game will be gimped on the 360. The only dissapointment for us is the extra time we have to wait to play it. You don't need to whine about having to wait a little while longer, as long as the game is good, which it will be. If you guys are really fans of the FF franchise you will pick it up regardless, if not , your just hating because you have to wait, or you just want something to b***h about. Stop being such rabid fanboys, and realize that these developers(like any business) are out to make money. I don't want to wait either, but when the game does launch, we will be getting the better experience.

wELL you want to hear the truth?
YES I PLAYED PS3 DEMO OF FF13, and what? ITS LAGGING IN MOST OF THE PLACES. ESPECIALLY WHEN U FIGHT THAT GIAT ROBOT when it uses its SPOTLIGHT it lags the frame rate drops a lot and its obvious.
+ we have to wait so long because of 360 version so it is compromise. and no work on Versus even they said they will release them together.

hmmm... i dunno what to say really, I think SE are going to make a great game but I am looking forward to white knight chronicles Level 5 are the guys to look out for in the future seems SE is after one thing now Money, i am still gna buy the game on ps3 I sure am glad I have a ps3 n not a xbox for this game no matter what xbox owners say, it gna be far better on PS3 :)
