SEGA has announced that tri-ace developed RPG Resonance of Fate will receive a simultaneous release in North America and Europe in early 2010.
Speaking to VideoGamer.com, Jun Yoshino, localisation producer for SEGA Europe, commented: “America and Europe is the same release. Usually the European version comes a year after, let’s say the Japanese release. During the year, a lot of people are going to like, well this is old news now. We’re going to be losing a lot of interest if there is such a long time as a year. We’ve scheduled it in so we can get it out as quick as possible.”
Yoshino went on to reveal that the development team has been “working really hard” to ensure the game will hit western territories as soon as humanly possible following its launch in Japan later this year.
“Obviously with a huge game play length, as a role-playing game, it’s very hard to do all the localisation and languages at the same time,” he said.
“But we’ve been working really hard, putting in long hours, so the release difference, the time gap, will be as small as possible. I can’t really think of another JRPG with as small a time gap as what we’re doing.”
Known as End of Entity in Japan, this sci-fi RPG casts players in the shoes of a 17 year old mercenary named Zephyr, with the action taking place inside a sprawling megapolis named Bazel. Set in the distant future where earth has been ravaged by poisonous gas, gamers will also bump in to a host of supporting characters, including pistol-wielding military man Vashyron and the mysterious 'Subject #20.'
Resonance of Fate will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

How about releasing Yakuza 3, which looks much better than this, simultaneously in the US and Europe?

@ #4 - Oranges and Apples my friend, you shouldn't be commenting if you are not a fan of JRPGs....as good as Yakuza 3 may be, ROF/EOE is a treat for the RPG fans. Don't be a sock-cooker.

Seriously "End of Entity" doesn't actually mean anything as a title.

@13 Yakuza 2, you mean that game Sega made mininal effort to sell after their half-attempt with the first game?
If both games got a proper advertising push, the Yakuza-smashing game would outsell the fairy-cake generic JRPG every time. -

u want Yakuza 3 so bad import it. why wait for the US release theres enough sites to help translate the game. This game is going to be great as long they don't use the same voices that were in enchanted arms

@17- Nope, judging from the latest trailer the game looks pretty bad technically and the story and dialogue writers at Tri-Ace suck judging from some of there previous games.
FFXIII has had 5-6 years of development time and all the games media looks amazing. Same with WKC, just a shame the story fell short with that. :(
Anyway I hope this game turns out well but I really dislike the overuse of guns in the battle system, seems like the only method of attack in the game :/
