Videogames are "almost acceptable," says Dushku

Actress Eliza Dushku has stated her belief that videogames are starting to become more “acceptable” for adult use in the sense that grown ups can now actually admit to playing them.
The feisty actress, who voices sultry heroine Rubi Malone in Bethesda’s upcoming game WET, told the BBC: "Videogames have almost become acceptable and cool for grown ups - not for people who are just in their teens.”
"I know so many people - friends, actors, directors - who are older and used to maybe play in private, but who can now say it loud and proud."
Dushku, 28, has voiced a number of videogame characters in recent years, including Yakuza’s Yumi Sawamura and Saint Row 2’s Shaundi. She is currently appearing in the sci-fi TV series Dollhouse.
WET is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September.

I personally think she's not attractive in the least. I actually grimmaced when I google imaged her, that is NOT what I was expecting.

This game looks like its going to be meh. I agree with what she is saying though. Games are not a kid thing anymore.. my father is 60 and hes been gaming since he was 33.

Just because he doesn't like her looks doesn't make him gay.. sheesh grow up.
Shes nice looking, there are certainly many other women that look better than her and there are worse. Personally for me what destroys it is her eyes.. all I see when I look at her eyes is Sylvester Stallone. Their eyes are very similer.
Heres a comparison

She looked better before that plastic surgery she had done.
See now if I wanted to be like you I could say you might be on the other team and have a thing for Sylvester Stallone for liking her...

what has happened to the news on this site lately? there hasnt been that much. on mondays, there used to be a ton of news this site reported on.
on subject: i dont think you should be ashamed of playing video games. its a source of entertainment that can be used to challenge the mind and waste time that is not being used.

@doomsday666
Megan Foxx is atrocious, worse than this Dushku girl. And Kristen Stewart decently cute in the Twilight movie, otherwise she's also not that attractive, as soon as they start making her look like a pron star like they did with Megan Foxx in Transformers 2 she's going to go from 'meh' to horrid, just like Megan Foxx is.

Well where I'm from (Ohio) mentioning video games anywhere near an atractive girl labels you a nerd and kills your chances with her, so I dont let anybody (besides fellow gamers) know that I have a ps2, xbox, gamecube, ps3, psp, and ds.

QUOTE ---- From Arada82 --- "thats because the 80s and 90s kids whom were die heart video game players are becoming the ADULTS themselves. When i was 14 years old i was playing football games on the couch with my buddies and just the other week at the age of 27 all of us were at the same couch playing ps3. the people that need to accept gaming are WIVES."
Absolutely spot on mate .

I actually didn't really get into video games until my late teens/early 20's. I played them as a kid, but no online play and I lived out in the sticks, so I rarely had anyone to play with. Poor me :( I spent more time with Legos than I did playing video games. Video games aren't nearly as fun if you don't have anyone to play with. The internet changed all of that :)
