Sony America's Mark Valledor has confirmed that a playable demo of the critically acclaimed LittleBigPlanet will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on September 10.

Valledor notes that the demo will feature a host of levels and mini-games for you to indulge in either by yourself or with three friends, as well as giving you the chance to customize your own SackBoy to your heart's content.

As luck would have it, the Game of the Year Edition of LBP is also due out the same week, arriving on store shelves on September 8. It’s worth noting that there are no new Trophies available in the re-release, though your old saves will still be compatible with the GotY Edition provided you have the latest LBP online update installed.

Our review of the original release of LittleBigPlanet can be read here.

I wasn't getting mad about the spelling, but if it's that important to everyone I will proof-read my own post.  I was mad because I couldn't figure out what in the heck that sentence meant.  You think before PSU would post something it would make sense. Does this following sentance make any sense whatsoever? "It’s worth noting that there’s no new Trophies available the re-release, though your old saves will still be compatible with the GotY Edition provided you have the latest LBP online update installed."

@6, really? Because last time I checked it almost got GoTY from as many places as MGS4 and Fallout 3 did... LittleBigPlanet is one of the best games ever made, don't be fooled by the childish appearance.  LBP is amazing for anyone that likes platformers at all, or has some form of creativity.  The graphics rock, the custom levels are in almost infinite supply (and there are lots of extremely well made ones), the physics system extremely advanced, it's the cutest game that anyone can play (if they have the skills), it's also very challenging with tons of unlockables, dlc, and major updates like the paintanater and water that allow people to really mix up the game play of LBP in new and awesome ways.  Honostly if you don't like LBP then you haven't played it enough (or at all for that matter).

I have the game and it's pretty cool, but it's not even worth buying if it still lags out.   Sorry but MM should know better.   This game was made to create stuff, play with friends online (that's a big plus), play with friends at home.   However, if you can't play with friends online which is the big plus, then the game crap.    They still have huge bugs from when the game first came out.

MM doesn't back up their games, and quite frankly, I have to say it's complete trash.   Before people say it's my connection, it's not since I have tested my connection numerous times.  Some people don't lag, while a good 50 to 60% do.   I can't even play with random people online cause it lags so much.   The game may have a lot of physics in it, but it shouldn't lag out like this since other games tend to use more resources and have better servers.

Why release a demo so long after the game has been released? 99% of ps3 users already have the game and the ones that dont, havent because they dont want it.
