Atlus announced today that it is bringing Metal Slug XX, a side-scrolling, arcade-style, run-and-gun shooter to the PlayStation Portable next month. The latest entry in the Metal Slug series, the XX game will feature ad-hoc multiplayer and cooperative arcade play.
The game comes with six classic Metal Slug characters, including Marco, Tarma, Fio, Eri, Ralf, and Clark. You can also purchase Leona for $.99 USD. You’ll get more than 70 mission-based trials in “Combat School” to give the game some legs. Perhaps best of all, the game will only set you back $19.99.

If you head over to the PlayStation Blog, you can enter for your chance to win Metal Slug boxers – the kind you wear under your pants. You can also win one of nine Japanese promotional posters.
Check out more screens here. Look for Metal Slug XX on the PSP this February 23.

Right so it's gonna be done by Atlus? Ok Euro-gang, looks like we're importing this one if another publisher doesn't release it here, although saying that we did get R-Type Tactics...barely because of Rising Star

metal slug X is the best one, I hope XX it's as twice as good
now that they mentioned metal slug, they should make a remake of metal slug X with HD graphics for the PS3 Store. It will look awesome and it's always nice to have a nice arcade shooter game to distract your mind every once in a while
