Take-Two has announced that its critically acclaimed crime romp Grand Theft Auto IV has shifted over 17 million copies globally since its launch in April 2008.

Company bigwig Strauss Zelnick also revealed that the publisher expects the game to enjoy a healthy lifespan echoing the success of its predecessor, which had moved a whopping 21.5 million copies worldwide as of March 2008.

While Zelnick remained tight-lipped over the possibility of a GTA V, he conceded that ‘consumer demand for the series remains to be very strong.'

Strong enough for a GTA V bombshell at E3 next week? We can only hope.

I love everything in GTA IV, except the you cant listen to your own music. That was my only drawback. Funny part is you could listen to your own music in Red Dead Redemption, but not GTA.

Hoping for but not going to see San Andreas as the next GTA game. GTA IV was somewhat of a disappointment for me.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE IT LIKE SANANDREAS!

If they havent realised by now that everybody liked sanandreas the best then we can expect another overly realistic game with no wide open areas, planes, tanks, good customisation and variaty!

I was just playing this yesterday online, after over a year of not touching it, not a lot of  people on it anymore, which isn't a surprise with all the games that are out now. Needless to say, I shut it off after a while, I got bored of it. The game was ok, not the best of the series thou.
