Sony ships one million Moves in North America

Sony has shipped over one million PlayStation Move controllers in North America, announced PS3 Marketing Manager Kim Nguyen on the PlayStation.Blog.

In the post, Nguyen highlighted the growing number of software titles that support PlayStation Move, including Heavy Rain, MAG, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, and Time Crisis: Razing Storm, then pointed to early 2011 releases that will support the Move, like LittleBigPlanet 2, Killzone 3, and SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs. Nguyen also confirmed a Tuesday, November 9 release for Move-focused street brawler The Fight: Lights Out.

Go, grandpa, go!

One million Moves shipped in North America in only six weeks is quite a promising figure for the tech giant. Part of this mainstream appeal may result from comparisons with Kinect, as Sony Worldwide Studios chief Shuhei Yoshida suggested a couple weeks back.

So, have you jumped on the Move bandwagon yet, or is a DualShock 3 controller all you need? Let us know in the comments section below.
