Off-road racer DiRT 3 will be skidding onto store shelves worldwide on May 24, publisher Codemasters announced today.
The racing sequel packs in “double the track content” of its highly lauded predecessor, and features heaps more cars and events to boot.
A whopping 60 percent of the game’s career mode is comprised of Rally events, taking gamers to a variety of countries such has Finland, Norway, Kenya and North America.
Two new screenshots also popped up alongside the release date, which we’ve included for you below (click to view the full size). DiRT 3 is due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 platforms.

I had dirt 1 which I found too easy, didn't bother with dirt 2 so I might get this one but only when the price goes down. Hope it will have online play and 2-player split screen. For the moment I need to get my PS3 fixed (YLOD) or replaced. PS: Thank you PSU for letting me comment a maximum of 1 artcle per day, I thought things were supposed to change for the best, not the worst, plus I can't edit my comments!

Are you guys joking? (comment 1 and 2) Clearly you guys aren't racing fans because Rally is at the top of the game in the racing community... Plus Dirt 1 and 2 were under-rated and under-hyped because they are among the top 10 racing games in the past 20 years... Dirt 3 will undoubtedly be at least game of the year for racing and finallyyyyy have a release date! Very exciting can't wait, this will be a first day buy for me.
