Rockstar has lifted the lid on a sumptuous gameplay trailer for its eagerly anticipated detective ‘em up, L.A. Noire.

Seen below, the footage depicts various gameplay elements including shootouts, clue-gathering, witness interrogation and more. Frankly, it all looks absolutely stunning, particularly the facial expressions.

L.A. Noire is due out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 17.

didnt know much about this but graphics are amazing and as its rockstar, the game should be top quality, think Id prefer the action to detective work but will probably get this.

Half right, their working with Bondi to make this that's why it has the same engine as GTA4 and Read Dead.

Dunno guys, I dont care about facial expressions, more into blowing stuff up and shooting cool guns.

I understand what they are trying to do, but it looks like another Heavy Rain

Game looks epic. I always said I'd like to see a GTA style game but where you get to be the police force instead of the criminals.

Holy crap, this looks briliant! Shame they're gonna have to dumb it down to cater for the 360's inferior standards though. Hopefully they'll decide to give us the full experience anyway, and just give the Xbox a cheap port so that we don't have to suffer whilst still getting the maximum out of both consoles instead.
