PSP's Gangs Of London gets the movie treatment

The 2006 PlayStation Portable game 'Gangs Of London' is set to be turned into a feature length film directed by Menhaj Huda, who was involved in the making of British drama ‘Kidulthood’ The movie will be a joint venture between U.K. studios Pulse Films and Foton films.

In the PSP game, players could choose between five different gangs based in the English capital and could take part in a variety of missions, including kidnapping, racing through the city streets and gang battles.

Thomas Benski, MD at Pulse and Executive Producer, said: “We are very excited about securing such a great piece of IP in Gangs of London for development into a feature film. The popularity of the game means that there is already a strong fan base, and the content lends itself to a fantastic story on screen. The project continues Pulse’s move in the feature film world and Huda is the ideal directing partner for this venture.”

A release date has yet to be confirmed.
