Electronic Arts has announced that Burnout Crash will be released on PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE in August.

Featuring arcade action and a distinct cartoon aesthetic, this downloadable title evolves the Crash mode featured in previous Burnout games, offering what developer Criterion says is ‘the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform.’

"Burnout Crash is a crazy mix of pinball and game shows," commented Burnout Crash creative director, Richard Franke.

"We've evolved the core gameplay which everyone loved about Crash Mode, and expanded the whole experience using music, style and Autolog to create what we feel is the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform."
