Deus Ex DLC to have Eidos Montreal-developed boss fight

Eidos Montreal has confirmed that Deus Ex: Human Revolution’s forthcoming Missing Link DLC will feature an all-new boss fight, and what's more, it's been developed in-house by the company.

The info comes hot on the heels of news that the critically lauded action-RPG’s regular boss battles were outsourced to Grip Entertainment.

However, speaking to Eurogamer, Marc-Andre Dufort, producer on The Missing Link, confirmed that not only has the boss been worked on by Eidos Montreal, but it’ll also prove‘less frustrating’ than those found in the main game.

"We have a boss battle at the end, but it's different from the main game boss battles," commented Dufort.

"You can actually not kill the boss. You can do a non lethal takedown on him. And you can kill him from afar. You can even kill him without him seeing you. It's more of a bigger challenge than a standard boss fight like we have in many games."

"Everything was done in Montreal at Eidos," he continued. "It's a lot less frustrating. But it depends on the way you play. If you played more combat in the main game, you probably didn't have any trouble dealing with the boss fights. So we allow the adaptation of the way you play for that particular boss fight."

Completely off topic but hopefully someone who works here will read this anyway.

I have PSU RSS feed connected to my Google Reader. Every single day I get flooded with 20 or so articles and it is always ones that I have already seen and acknowledged and marked as read. You RSS is sending out your feeds multiple times to the point of making me want to remove it from my reader as to not have all the clutter. I enjoy your site and the news articles you all write but I really can't stand the flood of notifications multiple times a day.

Please get it sorted, sending the info to someone who can, or somehow fix it.

    Thanks

I never had any trouble with the boss battles in the main game. If anything I found them too easy. I'd die on the first try, but then analhilate them on the second try. They weren't very interesting and somewhat underwhelming.

And coverton. You will probably be better of asking about the problem in the forum.
