Mass Effect 3 to get single-player, multiplayer DLC

BioWare has confirmed that Mass Effect 3 will receive both single-player and multiplayer downloadable content.
Speaking to Game Informer, series producer Casey Hudson commented, “There’s some multiplayer stuff, but we’re also planning some DLC on the single-player side, because it did really good in Mass Effect 2.”
“There’s a reason why we can add stories to what’s there.”
Hudson remained tight-lipped on what we can expect from the DLC itself, though did confirm that the single-player content would function in a similar manner to Mass Effect 2’s offering.
“The adventure-type DLC will happen in the time frame of Mass Effect 3, within your Mass Effect 3 storyline. It’s similar to how with Mass Effect 2, if you had a saved game from anywhere inside the game, you could go on to the DLC. We have a pretty neat concept for how it’s going to work," he explained.
Mass Effect 3 will bring an end to Commander Shepard’s battle against the Reapers, and is scheduled for release in the U.S. on March 6 and in Europe on March 9.
The game will be available for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 platforms.
