Konami has announced that the Zone of the Enders HD Collection will be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in autumn 2012.

Up until now the collection has only carried an ambiguous ‘2012’ release window. However, it still remains unknown as to when we’ll be seeing the PlayStation Vita version, which was announced last September.

The bundle includes high definition remasters of Hideo Kojima’s cult classics Zone of the Enders and Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, complete with full Trophy/Achievement support and improved audio. The games were originally released on PlayStation 2.

Konami’s general manager, Martin Schneider, commented: "We are looking forward to bringing the legendary Zone of the Enders series to old and new fans in a high definition form.”

"We are excited to offer these games on new platforms which will allow gamers to experience the drama and action of the Zone of the Enders like they have never seen it before."
