Cave announces cancellation of PlayStation Vita titles

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed that Japanese studio Cave has shelved its planned PlayStation Vita games.

Both were unveiled last year as part of the planned list of games in the pipeline for Sony’s new handheld. Of the two, only social game Shirotsuku was ever detailed extensively.

The game would have been set in the samurai-era, with Cave intending to utilize PS Vita’s network and location-based features for the project. The other title was supposedly a shooter, but that’s all we know.

Elsewhere, it has also been announced that Miki Watanabe, vice president and COO of Cave, has confirmed his decision to resign from the company due to personal reasons.
