Deus Ex 4 for PS4 launch, further evidence surfaces with job listing

Last month PSU heard on the grapevine, from a very good source, that Deus Ex Human Revolution 2 or Deus Ex 4 would be among the launch titles on PS4.

This week, evidence that a second game is in the planning and will be targeting the launch of both Xbox 720 and PS4 has gathered strength after a job posting appeared on LinkedIn (since removed)

Though the game or studio isn’t named in the listing, it did mention a “major Canadian Studio” and “a semi-open world action adventure title that responds to player choice and interaction.” The fact that it also states that the new game is a “well known and respected action/adventure title, with elements of choice and stealth within the gameplay,” leads us to believe that it can only be either a new Assassin’s Creed or Deus Ex title.

As we’re pretty certain that the latter has been in the planning as a PS4 launch game for some time, and that the Square Enix group has advertised jobs on LinkedIn before, we believe that this does refer to the next iteration in the Deus Ex series.

The posting also stated that the studio plans "to really take advantage of the new platforms coming in the next two years to provide an experience with unparralled realism, depth and consequence for player action and choice.”

At this early stage, we don't expect an official announcement for some time and we doubt very much that Deus Ex 4 will be confirmed at E3, where Tomb Raider, Hitman Absolution and Sleeping Dogs will be the main titles showcased by the Square Enix Group.
